Yuma County Science and Engineering Expo (YCSEE) is the annual county-level science and engineering fair for local elementary, middle, and high school students. Volunteer judges in the community support this event by lending their time and expertise to judge science fair entries from students across Yuma County. Online project judging is during the week of January 17-23, 2026. In-person judging will take place at Arizona Western College on January 30, 2026.
JUDGING
Online
Judges will have one week (January 17-23, 2026) to review their assigned projects and will score student projects online using a rubric. Online judging will require approximately 3-4 hours' time commitment. Judging is completed at a time convenient for the volunteer.
In-Person
Judge the top projects in person from 8am-12pm on Friday, January 30, 2026, to determine final winners.

Judges will follow a rubric and judge student science fair projects in elementary, middle, and high school categories. Judges can choose to judge online, in person, or both.

- Volunteers are responsible for requesting an LOA and providing the POC with their name, rank, and contact information upon or shortly after registering to volunteer so that an LOA can be provided.
