All Unit requests are placed on reserve at that time and reservations are made 30 days out as first come, first serve. Request agreement is between Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS), MCAS Yuma, and the undersigned Uniformed/Deployment Readiness Coordinator (U/DRC) for the temporary loan of the Unit Gear.

  • If a unit returns gear late, causing another unit to miss their reservation, the late unit will be put on a no-use restriction for 60 days.
  • Any replacement costs for missing parts/pieces and/or any damaged equipment will be charged to the respective U&FRF cost center.
  • Arizona Adventures will not accept any form of payment from a Service Member or U/DRC's private bank account or insurance carrier.
  • Arizona Adventures will send an invoice for payment to the U/DRC prior to charging the unit cost center.
  • Unit Gear can only be picked up and returned Mon-Fri. Upon return, the unit's working party will be required to set up, clean, inspect, and put away the equipment. See the unit gear request forms for further details.
  • Units will not be held liable for broken or non-functioning equipment when the defect is caused by normal wear and tear.
  • The DRC does not have to be present to pick up or drop off gear.
  • The unit POC for pickup and dropoff is expected to inspect the equipment along with an Arizona Adventures staff member.
  • The pick-up POC for the units will have the discretion to not accept gear that is not in good condition or not functioning properly.
  • The DRC is ultimately responsible for the proper and timely pick-up, return, care of, and accountability of the equipment.

  • Inflatable jumpers should always be supervised when in use. Ensure all participants have exited the jumper before deflating.
  • Do not allow jumpers to get wet. Wet jumpers require two days of drying time. The Child Development Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC is recognized as the nation's leader in setting standards for quality care. The Child Development Center is the first program in the Marine Corps and the third in the Department of Defense to be accredited by NAEYC under the new comprehensive, more stringent criteria. This means you have the opportunity to place your child in the highest quality program available. The safety and well-being of your child is our first priority. We realize your part, as your child's primary teacher, and supplement your care when you are at work. Our center has an "open door" policy and we encourage visits and interaction from our parents. There are video cameras that continuously record each area. Children can be viewed from these if parents are reluctant to interrupt the child's activity.

Childcare services are provided from 0630-1730 Monday through Friday. The center is closed for all federal holidays. Any other closings are at the discretion of the Command. Fees are applied in weekly increments from Monday to Friday. Discounts are not given for holiday closures, days missed, illness or leave periods.

Breakfast, Lunch and an afternoon Snack is provided at no charge. Infant formula and baby food is provided. No outside food or drinks are allowed at the Child Development Center. Food allergies and religious food restrictions are accommodated with the proper medical documentation provided by parents at time of enrollment.

Our mission is to promote awareness of the unique educational needs of military connected children. School Liaisons:

  • Develop, coordinate, and engage in school and community partnership initiatives that foster academic success.
  • Increase educator and community awareness of the Marine Corps mission.
  • Serve as the commander’s subject matter expert and point of contact for Pre-K-12 education related matters.
  • Provide military families and students with school transitions and academic support information and resources.

What is School Liaison?

School Liaisons are professionals whose mission it is to facilitate successful Pre-K-12 schooling transitions when military connected children move with their families to new duty stations and when those children are transitioning to the next step in their education, such as transitioning into kindergarten or graduating high school and pursuing post-secondary education. School Liaisons are located on every Marine Corps installation, both CONUS and OCONUS, and work together to provide families with the schooling information and resources they need to locate quality schools for their children and ensure continuity in their education throughout the service member’s career.

School Liaisons also work with the local school systems to inform education professionals and the community of the unique needs military connected children have, the educational and social challenges they face, and support for military connected students such as the Military Interstate Compact. Most importantly, the Yuma School Liaison can serve and support any active-duty military family assigned to MCAS Yuma, regardless of their branch of service. We’re here to support you during your move here, during your time on station, and as you prepare for your next PCS move!

We provide the following support:

  • Direct assistance to military families with school-aged children in grades Pre-K– 12
  • Educate schools and communities about the needs of military-connected school-age children and military family life
  • Build collaborative relations between command, installation and community
  • Maintain direct contact and develop relationships with school/district personnel
  • Provide information about school options; and educational services, programs, and resources on-and-off base.
