Featuring headline band Sleep Theory with opening band Velvet Rodeo, Cherry Point's annual music and food festival, Rocktoberfest, returns to the Public House Backyard on Thursday evening, Oct. 16. Open to all authorized patrons, it's an evening of music, food, and games. Admission is free.

Beginning at 5 pm, patrons can enjoy Oktoberfest themed food in the Biergarten, beverage tastings, games and prizes, a mechanical bull, a photo booth, and more. Crowd favorite DJ Big Mike will be back to provide entertainment thoughout the event.

Headline band Sleep Theory combines energetic hard rock and metalcore with the massive hooks of powerhouse vocalist Cullen Moore. Praised by Jelly Roll and David Draiman, they’ve toured with Shinedown, Falling In Reverse, and Beartooth. In under two years, they became the fifth most-played artist on Active Rock radio. Afterglow and the Paper Hearts EP merge heavy rock with pop and R&B, producing anthemic bangers and emotional ballads. Velvet Rodeo

Velvet Rodeo, a Wild West country duo, has made the move to Nashville, where news of their energetic performances has been spreading like wildfire. Between their slinging guitars and vocal showdowns, the audience comes for a show, and leaves with an unforgettable experience. They were awarded CCMA “Duo Of The Year,” and Josie Award “Country Duo Of The Year” at the Grand Ole Opry. They have had the privilege to share stages with such artists as Clay Walker, Little Texas, Drew Baldridge, Little Big Town, and Jelly Roll.
