Feeling stuck in a monotonous workout routine and would like to make progress? Time to switch things up! MCAS Miramar's High Intensity Tactical Training (HITT) Center, located in Bldg. 2525 Bauer Road will host its first Boxing Fitness class on August 2 and will offer classes on Wednesdays from 11:00am-12:00pm! Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a beginner, boxing fitness offers a dynamic and empowering way to get in shape and relieve stress.

What to Expect

Class Format

Our classes will offer full-body workouts that combine elements of boxing drills, cardio exercises, strength training, and agility movements, designed to cater to people of all fitness levels. Instructors will guide you on your fitness journey through fundamental boxing techniques.

Preparation

The HITT Center will have boxing gloves and mitts available during boxing fitness classes (or you may bring your own). However, participants will need to bring their own hand wraps. Bringing a water bottle is encouraged to keep you hydrated throughout the session. Our instructors are here to ensure you have a phenomenal experience; remember to come prepared!
 
If you're seeking a workout that will challenge you, increase hand eye coordination, and your cardio endurance, our boxing fitness class is a great way to start. Starting August 2, boxing fitness classes will be held every Wednesday from 11:00am - 12:00pm. For more information, you can call the HITT Center at (858) 307-4128.

  • The Semper Fit Center offers group fitness classes, including classes such as Pilates, variations of yoga, spin, and Zumba! Visit the Semper Fit Center page for the group fitness class schedule!
  • The HITT Center offers additional HITT classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00am-6:30am.
  • The F45 Studio, located at the Miramar Sports Complex, offers classes Monday-Saturday (with exceptions due to federal holidays). F45 offers functional fitness classes. Mondays and Wednesdays focus on cardio. Tuesdays and Thursdays focus on resistance and strength training. Fridays and Saturdays feature a hybrid of both. These classes are free to active duty and $6 per class or $40 for unlimited classes each month, with your first class being free.
