Parenting can be a challenge, especially for military families. The demands of transitioning to a new installation, parental absence due to deployments or other military requirements, and being separated from family members and social supports can make adjusting to parenting even more challenging.
The New Parent Support Program (NPSP) is a professional team of registered nurses who provide education and support to military families who are expecting or raising children aged 0 - 5 years old.
We help families cope with stress, isolation, post-deployment reunions, and the everyday demands of parenthood through a variety of programs including home visits, support groups, and parenting classes.
We provide you with parenting education on a variety of topics such as pregnancy and health, newborn care, attachment and bonding, discipline, child development, toilet training, and toddler care.
VISITATIONS
Parenting is tough, but so are you. Take advantage of our visitation program, which is designed to help educate and support you with any of your parenting concerns. The program is completely tailored to your situation and can take place within your home or our office.
Visitiations are a great way to receive one-on-one guidance from a registered nurse on topics such as:
- Pregnancy & Health - Address your concerns on the upcoming birth of your child.
- Newborn Care - Learn the basics of newborn care, feeding, bathing, burping, diapering, and more.
- Toilet Training - Methods to successfully potty train your child.
- Sibiling Relationships - Introducing baby to your children or blended family.
WORKSHOPS
